  About Heroes on Horseback

Heroes on Horseback is a premier-accredited center of PATH, Intl., focused on providing safe, professional and ethical equine-assisted therapeutic activities for individuals in the Lowcountry with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. Our program helps children and adults overcome barriers that challenge their everyday lives, with disabilities such as Autism, ADHD,  Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, MS, and others. Our participants benefit from our program through increased confidence, improved concentration, better self-awareness and self-discipline, and improved posture, balance, strength, flexibility and eye/hand coordination. The horse provides freedom of movement and excitement that no clinical setting can duplicate.

Our Partner: Heroes on Horseback is pleased to announce a new partnership with Aunt Laurie's. Aunt Laurie's can customize and personalize gifts and baskets, all of which (candles soaps, lotions, bath products, etc.) are handmade by small businesses, many made by those with disabilities. The baskets themselves are actually handmade at the SC Vocational Rehabilitation Center and then assembled and shipped by disabled clients going through job skills training.

You can support Heroes on Horseback through your purchases at Aunt Laurie's by using the promo code hero15. You will receive a 10% discount on your purchase and we will receive a portion of every purchase you make when using that promo code.

Take A Vow of Empowerment
